Reindex Enterprise Search (CES)

After you updated your ARIS version, you must reindex the Enterprise Search (CES). One option is to use the the createcesindex ARIS Server Administrator command. Another option is to manually trigger a reindex.

    Use ARIS Server Administrator

    1. If you have installed ARIS server, navigate to <ARIS installation path>\server\bin\work\work_abs_<s, m, or l>\tools\arisadm and run the batch file.

    2. Establish a connection to the ARIS server and tenant:

      Syntax: server <ARIS server name>:<port number> <tenant> <user name> <password>

      Example: server arissrv:1080 default system manager or server arissrv:443 default system manager -ssl

      To use the interactive mode, enter: server <server name>:<port> <tenant> <user> <password> createcesindex or use the batch mode and enter: arisadm.bat -s <server name>:<port> -t <tenant> -u <user> <password> createcesindex

    Reindex manually

    1. In ARIS click Application launcher Application launcher > Administration Administration. Configuration Configuration is displayed.

    2. Click Publication settings. The databases are listed.

    3. Enable the check box of the database you want to reindex.

    4. Click Reindex.

    5. The Enterprise Search (CES) is being reindexed.
