Publish databases in ARIS (ARIS Online Guide)

If you plan to use ARIS Online Guide to make documents available across the company which were specially created for your business processes in the SAP® system during customizing, please make the databases available in Published content of ARIS.

Prerequisite

  • You have the ARIS Enterprise Admin license privilege.

  • You have the Database administrator and the Publishing administrator function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Start ARIS.

  2. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Administration Administration.

  3. Click Databases > Publication settings. The databases are listed.

  4. In the row of the relevant database, click Edit Edit.

  5. Select the publication mode. To publish a specific version of a database, you can select Comparison settings. They enable the comparison of models that are stored in different versions of one and the same database or in different databases. Therefore, select a database and a version to be published.

    1. No publication: the database will not be published.

    2. Auto publication: the database is published automatically.

    3. Dedicated publication: a specific version of a database is published. Therefore, you must select a change list. This option is only available for versionable databases.

    4. Manual publication: the database is published manually. This option is only available for versionable databases. You can select Request approval to enable the approval workflow for the publishing process. Therefore, you must select the Owner attribute to specify the Model owner or User group. If you select Manual publication, you can remove a published model from Published content.

    5. Activate Enable Companion: Enables AI features for the database. Activating the AI features can take several minutes. When indexing is completed, AI features are available.

  6. Click Apply.

The databases are listed in the Published content Published content.
