Tenant management administration tool

The tm.bat and tm.sh are located under \work_umcadmin_<memory size>\tools\tm\bin in your installation directory. Please use tm.bat for Windows® operating systems and tm.sh for Unix operating systems.

The batch file tm.bat can be used to create, backup, restore, and delete tenants. Enter the tool name followed by --help or without any parameter to see the usage instructions, for example tmbat.

tm.bat and tm.sh are command-line tools which allow the execution of tenant management operations similar to ARIS Infrastructure.

Prerequisites

  • ARIS server installation

  • Users need the function privileges License administrator, User administrator, Technical configuration administrator.

    Users need to login as superuser or they need either an ARIS Architect license or an ARIS UML Designer license.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Open a command prompt (Start > Run > cmd).

  2. Enter tm.bat followed by --help or without any parameter to display the help, for example tm.bat.

    Enter tm.bat -a <command> -t <tenant name> -u <user name> -p <password> -url <Application internal rest endpoint url> -f <file to backup or restore> to enter a command. Parameters may differ.

After creating a tenant, you must import the relevant license and create the users. You can do so from the command-line or using the graphical user interface ARIS Administration.

You are recommended to change the password of the default user system immediately after the installation.
